The US CDC lists Zimbabwe as a low-risk country for Covid-19

The United States Center for Disease Control (CDC) has listed Zimbabwe as a low-risk country for Covid-19.

Travel health lists the countries as follows:

  • Level 4: very high COVID-19
  • Level 3: High COVID-19
  • Level 2: moderate COVID-19
  • Level 1: Low COVID-19
  • Unknown level: COVID-19 unknown

Zimbabwe is listed below with the advice being: Make sure you are fully vaccinated before traveling to these destinations.

eSwatini, Mozambique and Malawi are the other countries in the region to get that score.

Zimbabwe has had a largely controlled infection rate in recent months. Its vaccination schedule has seen the distribution of over one million doses. Just under 700,000 have received at least one dosage.
