“The event had previously been postponed, but the current covid-19 pandemic, logistical constraints and previous structural damage have forced the cancellation.”
MotoGP plans to return to Argentina in 2022, but, for now, the current year will have five more races to go after this weekend:
GP of San Marino (Misano), 19 September;
GP of the Americas (COTA, Austin), 3 September;
GP of Emilia Romagna (Misano), October 24;
GP of the Algarve (AIA, Portimão), 7 November;
This current weekend of September 12, takes place the GP of Aragon, the 13th test of this calendar.
The pre-season dates for 2022 have also been confirmed with the official tests in Jerez on 18 and 19 November this year and the shakedown test on 31 January next year.
