Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari was sworn in on Tuesday in three new Chief Judges for the State High Court. The swearing-in ceremony that took place at the state government headquarters was witnessed by senior government officials from the three branches of government and other supporters.
Among those sworn in by the governor are Judge Ibrahim Isyaku Mashi, Judge Kabir Sha’aibu, and Judge Abubakar Ibrahim Maude.
Shortly after taking the oath, Governor Masari in his remark said that the swearing in of the new judges “has given the state further capacity to witness the delivery of justice.”
He also stressed the need to improve the speed of delivery of judgments between stakeholders in the justice sector.
Governor Masari also encouraged state judges to work for a swift settlement of criminal cases to involve arrest, investigation and prosecution, as he says “the government is seriously disturbed by the trend of blame games from part of the actors of the justice sector “.
