Veteran author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie celebrates the famous former governor of the state of Anambra, Peter Obi.
Chimamanda went to his Facebook page to write him birthday wishes. Adichie expresses her sincere gratitude through her post.
She is grateful for the time spent with her family, when her parents “were here” and even after they left, she says she went through the journey of pain with her family.
Happy birthday to my “big brother” Peter Obi.
Thank you for your compassion and circumspection, for your honesty and your humor.
Thank you for honoring our parents when they were here – your many visits to Kong in Abba, entertaining them with your stories, both of you having fun, mom calling you her “first child”, dad giggling from time to time.
Thank you for taking this bitter journey of pain with me and my brothers.
May your years to come be filled with joy and meaning.
It will work for you. God guides you.
The birthday boy is a Nigerian politician and businessman, born on July 19, 1961 at Holy Rosary Hospital and Maternity, Waterside-Onitsha.
Peter Obi is a member of the People’s Democratic Party and an alumni of Nigeria’s prestigious university, Nsukka.
Happy birthday Pietro Obi.
