Hamilton and Verstappen take out during the Italian GP | Wheels

Max Verstappen (front) ahead of Lewis Hamilton

Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen clashed on lap 23 of the Italian Grand Prix. The two rivals collided in a dramatic crash, with Verstappen’s rear wheel of his Red Bull car nearly rubbing against Hamilton’s helmet as his car approached the Mercedes. Once again the halo proves to be a vital element in Formula 1 racing.

The incident occurred when Hamilton pulled out of the pitlane as he and Verstappen made contact at the first corner.

Verstappen told Red Bull’s Dr Helmut Marko in the garage that Hamilton didn’t give him room.

McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo is currently driving the Italian GP, ​​his teammate Norris is in P2.
