See how ROYAL editor Robert Jobson and GB News presenter Nigel Farage both questioned the Sussexes about “contradictions” in their interview with Oprah Winfrey, with Mr. Farage having a strong dislike for the interview being so close to Prince Philip being in the hospital.
According to Robert Jobson, he was invited to GB News where he and Nigel Farage bombed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their interview with Oprah Winfrey. Mr. Jobson was particularly offended by the suggestion that the royal family was “racist” amid claims that there were worried conversations about little Archie’s skin color. The couple did not hold back in the Sussex sentencing as Farage said the couple were able to exploit the situation by posting their story before the royal family could respond.
Mr Jobson appeared on GB News on Mr Farage’s evening show and discussed the allegations that were made during the Oprah Winfrey interview.
He explained: “I have a feeling that when I’m doing a lot of work in America they genuinely believe some of this racist nonsense.”
Mr. Farage agreed and stated that the Sussexes had a “relocation advantage” in that they could publish their story sooner without the royals being able to respond.
Mr. Jobson replied: “I mean really, the work the Queen has done with the Commonwealth and the Prince of Wales. [has done] a huge amount of work.
“And even implying them as racists is ridiculous.”
Mr. Farage said he “hated him” and didn’t even like how close the Oprah Winfrey interview was to the Duke of Edinburgh being in the hospital.
Mr. Jobson expressed his opinion and said, “I was shocked, I thought it was deeply unpleasant in the way it was handled.
“I said on the air that I thought it was a bit like someone burning the American flag, what they were doing is burning the British flag.
“And the nonsense they talked about, you know, like they had a secret marriage, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the holy man of the earth, actually came out and said it was a lie.
“You had other things in there that were just nonsense.”
The Sussexes claimed they were secretly married a few days before their main ceremony in a garden by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
But the religious leader came out to defend himself and said it would be “illegal” of him.
Shortly after the interview aired, it was revealed that many of the “UK” headlines attacking Meghan and Harry used on the show were actually from American publications.
Meghan also said she was unable to get help for her mental health with many questions as to why Harry – a mental health champion who has received help in the past – did not help his wife.
There were also discrepancies between Harry who claimed he was “cut off” financially from the royal family in the “first quarter” of 2020 despite records showing that Prince Charles had been funding the couple until the summer.
The Sussexes say there is no contradiction as Harry was referring to the financial quarter rather than the calendar quarter.
Mr. Jobson added: “I thought that Oprah more than anyone else was disappointed in bringing them to account.”
