Nollywood actor and director John Njamah took to social media to complain about the new criteria for choosing brand ambassadors in Nigeria.
According to him, brands no longer consider people’s moral and intellectual credibility before engaging them, but instead choose controversial people and offer them ambassadorial deals.
He claimed that all it takes to get sponsorship deals nowadays is to be controversial, go viral for the wrong reasons, undergo butt enlargement surgeries, or pose naked on social media.
John Njamah, in the post he shared on his Instagram and Twitter pages, noted that this new development is very sad.
“Gone are the days of making you a brand ambassador because you’re good at what you do, smart and talk smart … these days all you need to do is be controversial, be popular for the wrong reasons, go naked and an extra bum, be irreverent .. and you will be approved. sad! “
