Daily figures for new Covid-19 cases have jumped to three digits, according to new data provided Wednesday by the Ministry of Health and Childhood.
111 new cases and five recorded deaths have been recorded, numbers that take us back to the recent hard lockdown.
The data located many of the new cases in Mashonaland West (40) and Massingham (19).
Since the data does not say how widespread these infections are, it has created the fear of a third hard lockdown. The government has said so far there are no plans underway for this.
However, Namibia’s health minister said the country was entering its third wave, while South Africa reached 8,881 new cases for the first time in two months.
There have been more new recoveries than new infections though …
