Dabengwa, former Zimbabwe Test player, appointed coach of the Danish national team

Former Zimbabwe tester Keith Dabengwa has been named coach of the Danish national team.

In a statement, Danish Cricket said:

As of October 1, 2021, the association hired Kieth to replace Ruan Louw. Unfortunately, Ruan was only able to stay in the country for a few months before, for personal reasons, he wanted to resign and return home to England. The union obviously had a good dialogue with Ruan, so both he and we were able to move forward quickly.

Dabengwa is receiving video assistance from SA legend and former India coach Gary Kirsten.

Dabengwa has done three tests and 37 ODI for Zimbabwe and it is widely accepted that he has never reached his full potential.

In a 2007 Logan Cup game he had the best innings figures of his career of 7 for 1. They are the best bowling figures of anyone in first-class history to have taken seven wickets in an inning.

All the best for him.
