Bulletin boards, notes and highlights on mobile devices – Feedly Blog

We have just released a new version of the Feedly Mobile application for both iOS and Android. You can download them for free from the App Store and Google Play Store.

Here is a quick overview of the new features included in this release.

New richer cards

We have improved the design of the card display. The new design is more readable and more modular. It allows us to bring out notes and highlights when needed.

Modular design creates a uniform experience

New Notes feature

If you have a Feedly Pro or Teams plan, you can create notes to capture your thoughts and enrich articles with unique insights. Mention your friends and teammates via email to quickly share articles (along with notes and highlights).

Enrich the articles with your insights

New feature highlighted

If you’re on the Pro or Teams plan, you can also highlight important steps you want to return to later. Share those passages with friends and teammates.

Press and drag to select the important text, then tap Highlight

New section Team Cards

If you’re part of a Teams plan, you’ll see a new Team Cards section in the left navigation menu. This new section gives you quick access to all articles saved by your teammates on all boards of the team you follow.

Your personal boards are listed at the top of your team’s feeds and boards

New iOS and Android sharing extensions

Whether on iOS or Android, from any mobile app or browser, our Save to Board extension gives you the ability to save articles to your Feedly boards (personal or team).

Open your phone’s sharing options and select the Feedly extension “Save to Wall”

One more thing: faster feed search

We’ve redesigned the feed search experience for faster, more relevant autocomplete and a broader set of topic suggestions. Finding the sources you want to follow is now faster and more relevant than before.

Mobile search returns a greater breadth of topics and sources

Bug fixes

We also took advantage of this new build to fix some bugs:

  • We have modified the buffer integration to avoid crashes caused by the old SDK
  • For Android users, the Share via Email option now includes the URL of the shared article

We can’t wait to see what the community does with Boards, Notes and Highlights on mobile devices. If you have any questions, leave a comment and we will be happy to answer you.
