ZTE has always been a bit confused when it came to buying higher priced products. The latest ZTE Axon 30 has also raised a lot of eyebrows in the market. The only thing you hear ofZTE Axon 30 is the invisible camera. With several innovative features, this is sure to be a great buy.
ZTE is another way to slip under the best of smartphones and offer a compelling blend of features moderated by some sacrifices. The main feature of the ZTE Axon 30 is a noticeably better under-screen camera (UDC) that is virtually undetectable. It is also a ZTE smartphone, which is not typically launched in the US. But ZTE’s AXON 30 offers more than a hidden selfie camera. Among the growing competitors of upper mid-range phones such as Samsung, OnePlus and Google.
The Fold 3 selfie cam, in comparison, shows the camera in its pixels and destroys the whole impression. The look is definitely a big disappointment, but you can still give it a try.
Features of ZTEAxon 30
It appears that the difference is either the pixel density or the composition, according to ZTE, with a unique pixel grid, which ensures the display appears at 400 PPI, twice that of the Axon 20. If the light is right in the unit, you could take a look at it, sure. But you will probably never notice it again.
The hidden sensor also pairs with the 6.92-inch AMOLED panel with no camera notches or hole breaks. The ZTE Axon 30 has an intermediate speed flagship screen with a resolution panel of 2,460 x 1,080 and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. You can choose between 120 and 60 Hz, allowing the Axon 30 to decide when to increase the frequency using a automatic option. There are cheaper refresh rate alternatives on phones. That includes the OnePlus 9 Pro and the recently released iPhone Pro 13, but it seems like a reasonable compromise at that price point.
Despite the plastic back, the phone itself is quite large but feels tough. At the rear of the AXON 30, ZTE has introduced a transparent look, which I like. But I’m less thrilled with the giant camera device, millimeters from the phone and perhaps easier to dress and scratch. But, unfortunately, this design is ubiquitous now.
This screen might look like a high-end phone, but several features, such as wireless charging and certified dust and water resistance, don’t make any cuts.
