Cuomo, Adams pledges to curb gun violence in New York

Eight people were treated for injuries after a shooting in downtown Portland early Saturday morning and at least one sustained serious and life-threatening injuries, police said.
Officers responded to a call from multiple people shot after 2am on Saturday and found “many people” injured, police said. The agents took life-saving measures and closed the road.

In Washington, six people were killed shortly after 11pm on Friday. Five adults were injured and a 6-year-old boy was killed, assistant chief executive Ashan Benedict said.
“Our thoughts, our prayers and our condolences go out to that victim’s family and to all the victims of tonight’s shooting,” said Benedetto.
Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact law enforcement.
“A shooting took the life of a 6-year-old boy. Our hearts break for his family, “Bowser he wrote on Twitter. “We must also bring those responsible to justice”.
According to the archive, this year more than 400 children aged 11 and younger were shot and 169 were killed.
